Enjoy these 5 pictures that were all shot in one morning trip (02.10.2007) down the river, not farther than 3 km and within 3 hours ...
Giant otter (ariranha, Pteronura brasiliensis)
Jabiru storks (Tuiuiu, Jabiru mycteria)
Jaguar (onça pintada, Panthera onca palustris)
Marsh deer (cervo-do-pantanal, Blastocerus dichotomus )
Roseate spoon-bills (colhereiro, Platalea ajaja)
WOW!!! That must have been a fantastic morning; great shots :) I look at your blog all the time, just waiting for the day Erica and I will return. We can't wait to see you and be in the Pantanal wilderness once again. Bye bye for now, Adrian & Erica.
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip! I have to say, on my cano trips down the Rio Negro, I saw all this and so much more. Coming up on the waking otters was just about the neatest thing. But that was topped by two species of Kingfishers on the same trip!
ReplyDeleteHi Barranco Alto - hope we have the same sightings in two weeks time. We are on our way again! See you soon. Beijos Bob & Patricia
ReplyDeleteQue beleza. Um abraço.
ReplyDeleteSuas fotos são maravilhosas e a natureza gloriosa! Já estou com vontade de conhecer o pantanal e a comida da Rosa.
